While the seven 1991 F1 cars developed by ASR Formula and Senninha for rF2 are not official content, they are very high quality in both physics and sound. Unfortunately, the performance data is identical between all makes. A future update could change that. Please join us weekly beginning Thursday, September 19 to race this 100% all free content.
1991 was a magical year for F1. Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Riccardo Patrese, Gerhard Berger, Nelson Piquet in his final season and of course, Michael Schumacher, Alex Zanardi and Mika Hakkinen all made their debut appearances. Senna was defending champion and winning drivers now got 10 points instead of the previous 9.
More importantly, ALL race points any driver earned counted toward the championship instead of the previous best 11 races. It is still the last season that an engine manufacturer OTHER than Ferrari, Mercedes or Renault won the world title.
What better way to celebrate that great season in F1 than to race in the cars they raced in and (most of) the tracks they raced on!
