Welcome to the 3DSpeed Series (Previously Zero Racing), a GT3 series brought to you by the 3D Speed series of sim rigs and of course the ESR Racing community.
All GT3 class cars (including ADAC Masters) were allowed though the admins reserved the right to add ballast to cars that have a better than average BOP (currently the Mercedes AMG Second Gen is carrying Ballast). Changing cars mid-season was by prior admin approval only and carried a 15 point penalty.
This season used ballast to equalize the field. Ballast weight was determined by the drivers performance index (a value determined by race results, pace and qualifying performance). Standings position did not impact the amount of ballast (though the chances are that drivers placed higher in the standings would carry additional weight due to their performance index).
Silver Cup drivers are newer drivers, or otherwise lower pace drivers, who compete for their own title, the Silver Cup. Silver Cup drivers scored points in the main championship as well as Silver points based on Race Results.
Races were scheduled to occur on Wednesday’s, once every two weeks. Practice started at 8 PM Eastern and lasted for one hour. This was immediately followed by a fifteen minute qualifying session and a thirty minute feature race plus fifteen minute reverse grid sprint race.
